Yuri Akbalkan (*1986) is a musician based in St. Petersburg, works in the fields of composition, improvisation and electroacoustic music. Participant of the ESG-21 Electroacoustic Music Lab, lecturer and co-curator of the Course in experimental music practice, collaborates with ESG-21 and reMusik.org. In his own practice he explores an aspect of the interaction between digital, analog and acoustic sound sources, integration of sounding objects into the public space in the context of urbanization and nonverbal communications. Currently he lives in Cologne, Germany.
